I just sewed these two up for my DD, and she loves them. They are great for the car and the camper, all the crayons and books are organized, and because she can see the crayon colours she wants, she doesn’t dump them all over the camper beds to colour! I previously just used a pencil case, but I like the for the car. On our 7 hour drive to Minneapolis this summer, I don’t want to have to rely on the ipad and movies to keep her occupied in the vehicle. The best part is the pattern are free! Gotta love blogging moms!
The fabrics I used were some that I had on hand from my last trip to Ikea. The red stripes and fantasyland white canvas are from Ikea, and the white and yellow chevron is leftovers from some quilting fabric I bought off etsy. I did the crayon wallet out of an orange pink print from Ikea. I chose to use a snap machine (since I own one) but the directions call for velcro. The fabric I used is home decor weight, so I didn’t need any stabilizer.
